OPENAI

AI Researches: OpenAI has launched Codex, its new AI coding agent, aiming to take over full-blown software engineering tasks — from writing and fixing code to testing and reviewing — all without you lifting a finger. It’s now available for ChatGPT Pro, Team, and Enterprise users as part of a research preview.
The Details:
Codex runs in the cloud and works on your code for up to 30 minutes at a time, doing things like fixing bugs, building new features, and running tests.
It connects to GitHub, so it can access your existing code, understand your style, and give more accurate results.
You don’t have to sit and watch — Codex does its work while you do other things, then shows you the finished output.
For now, usage is wide open, but OpenAI will soon set limits, and users can pay for extra time or tasks if needed.
OpenAI may also buy Windsurf, a startup that makes a similar coding tool, which shows how serious they are about leading in AI-for-coding.
Why this matters:
Codex shifts coding from keystrokes to prompts, promising dramatic gains in speed and consistency; whichever platform perfects this “virtual teammate” model first could set the new standard for how all future software is built and create a massive new revenue stream.
iMajor AI Developments that Happened in this week i
Windsurf just unveiled its in-house AI models, known as SWE-1, designed to go beyond code generation and support every step of the software engineering lifecycle, integrating coding, terminal commands, and browser interactions into a single workflow.
Google introduced AlphaEvolve, an AI coding agent that uses Gemini models (Flash for ideas, Pro for analysis) and iterative testing to develop algorithms, solving over 75% of 50+ math problems at SOTA level and surpassing 20% with new methods, while optimizing chip design, scheduling, and AI model training inside Google.
Notion has launched an all-in-one AI workspace solution with built-in tools for meetings, search, research, and writing—eliminating the need for multiple AI apps.
Gemini AI will soon roll out to Wear OS, Google TV, Android Auto, and a new XR headset, enabling natural voice use, content help, driving assistance, and immersive multimodal interaction.

Start in Grok chat
Open Grok on your desktop browser and go to the main chat interface where you can input prompts.Generate and refine
Describe the document you need—resume, invoice, literature review, etc.—in a single detailed prompt. Grok shows an instant preview; improve it by sending follow-up prompts or click Code to edit the LaTeX directly for precise formatting.Download and keep sources
When the layout looks right, click Download to save the polished PDF. For LaTeX research papers, also download the source file so you can update it later or meet journal-submission requirements.
Start in Social mode
Open Gamma in your browser, pick Social from the creation options, and set the starting number of cards for your carousel.Generate the outline
Enter a detailed prompt about your topic and click Generate outline. Adjust the card count again if needed, then apply a theme and an AI image generator to match your brand style.Review and publish
Check every card, make edits, and press Generate to finalize the deck. Download or share the finished carousel.

Researchers developed an AI tool called FaceAge that analyzes facial photos to estimate biological age, showing that cancer patients often appear 5 years older and that this estimate helps doctors more accurately predict 6-month survival chances.
Researchers unveiled Absolute Zero, a new AI method that creates, solves, and improves its own tasks using reasoning, outperforming models trained on large expert datasets and raising early safety questions.
Microsoft and Salesforce researchers found that LLMs—including GPT-4.1 and Claude 3.7—struggle in multi-turn chats, dropping from 90% to 60% accuracy, with no gains seen from adjusting temperature or using reasoning models.

OpenAI’s chief scientist says AI is already showing signs of generating new scientific insights and expects AGI—with real economic and research impact—by 2030.
Google Chief Scientist, Jeff Dean says We will have AI systems operating at the level of junior engineers within a year.
Elon Musk says AI won't just lead to universal basic income -- but universal high income. Tens of billions of humanoid robots could 10× the global economy. They won't just help. They’ll unlock abundance. Everyone gets what they want, if we get it right.
